I think I won my war on Plex today. I’ve had to move my server twice and it was not a fun experience either time!

My daughter is very exceptionally “knitworthy”, not only does she make requests but lately they’ve been for things I made her last year that she’s worn religiously and now she’s grown out of.

I just closed up my PC after hours trying to get a new HDD installed (it’s a CyberPower case with all these rainbow lights and it was horrible inside) and IT WORKS. I can hardly believe I’ve succeeded here. I’ve never done anything like this before!

I’ve been having my daughter help repair our Plex server, and she understands we can’t watch certain things until the work is done, which I think is a good lesson. Maybe?

Our computer repair attempts were not successful today (I’m missing a data cable I need to pick up tomorrow) but we all had fun 📷

I am on a post on /r/nanny where a parent is saying she’d forbid her nanny to take their kid to Target or any big box store because “anything could happen”. She specifies it’s trafficking that she is worried about. I feel like a superhumanly chill parent just because I don’t use Instagram or TikTok.

Finished reading: Circle of Days by Ken Follett 📚 This was fun! You can get through it in a day or two and it feels like watching a movie.
